Shipping Telegram Mini Apps that survive launch day
A delivery checklist for Mini Apps — auth, payments, review friction, and the boring ops that keep a launch upright.
Telegram Mini Apps look simple until launch day. Then auth edges, payment states and review timing show up at once.
Scope before polish
Ship a thin vertical first:
- Open → authenticated session
- One primary action (buy, book, submit)
- Clear failure and retry paths
Fancy onboarding can wait until those three paths are boring.
Auth without surprises
Prefer Telegram’s native auth, then map it to your own session. Do not invent a parallel login unless the product truly needs it.
Payments are a state machine
Treat payment as states, not a single “success” callback:
- created
- pending
- paid
- failed / expired
Persist every transition. Support staff will thank you.
Review and distribution
| Gate | What to prepare |
|---|---|
| Bot review | Clear commands, privacy text, support path |
| Mini App UX | No dead ends on first open |
| Ops | Alerting on auth and payment errors |
Closing
A Mini App is a product surface with Telegram as the shell. Design for the shell’s constraints — then the launch feels quiet.
